Pin This RecipeThese Slow Cooker Angel Pork Chops were a huge hit in our house! They are some of the best pork chops I’ve ever made. The pork chops are so tender and full of amazing flavor!
These are called Angel Pork Chops because they are served over angel hair pasta. If you aren’t a fan of pasta, this would also be great over some hot rice or mashed potatoes. Just make sure to spoon all that yummy sauce out of the slow cooker. I could drink the sauce; it is SO good!
This is such a great weeknight meal. It couldn’t be any easier. Just dump everything in the slow cooker and let it work its magic! We have made these several times and loved them every time.
Slow Cooker Angel Pork Chops
Equipment:
Ingredients:
- 4 to 6 boneless pork chops
- 1 (0.7-oz) packet Italian dressing mix (do not make the dressing)
- 4- oz cream cheese
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1 (10.5-oz) can Unsalted Cream of Chicken Soup
- ¾ cup chicken broth or white wine
- ½ pound cooked angel hair pasta
Instructions:
- Place pork chops in slow cooker. Combine Italian dressing mix, cream cheese, butter, soup and broth. Pour over pork chops. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours.
- Serve over cooked angel hair pasta.
Notes:
- I suggest using Unsalted Cream of Chicken Soup in this dish to control the sodium.

I just want to say that this is delicious!! I have used both chicken and porkchops have tried/ used both italian and ranch dry mix with both and turns out great each time…Definitely a rotation on our dinner menu. Everyone in my family eats this( and have a few picky ones). I always serve mine over rice vs noodles though due to preference. Thanks for the great recipe!!!!
Can I skip the cream cheese? My fiancé hates it. Should I add extra of something else to make up for it?
Can you double this recipe
Any recipe in existence can be doubled or decreased if you have basic math skills.
This looks so good but unfortunately my husband hates cream cheese and sour cream. Can you suggest what I could use in place of that?
I have made this several times it has become a family favorite. We like it with chicken thighs.
I don’t normally comment on recipes, but this was very good. My son and I both really liked it.
I’m really excited to try this. it looks amazing.
Is there a way to make this without my slow cooker? Mine is MIA a the moment.
I made it on stove top it worked very well!
Could you use chicken and if so, how much and how long would it go in slow cooker for
Here is the link to the chicken version: https://www.plainchicken.com/angel-chicken/
I’ve several comments about the instant pot, but no replies. I was wanting to try tonight.
I don’t have Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker cooking times and directions for this recipe. It is for the slow cooker.
Can you use ranch dressing mix instead of Italian?
Thank you for posting! I cannot wait to make this!
Forgive me if this is a dumb question – What size crockpot is this recipe meant for? I just ordered a 4qt online for me and my husband, and it seems like I may have to cut this recipe down to fit.
I used a 6-qt slow cooker and it wasn't full. Not even close. You might be ok
Do i melt the cream cheese before mixing it in with the other ingredients?
I didn't but you certainly can. I just whisked the sauce together after the pork chops cooked.
Can u use something else instead of cream cheese to thicken it
I don't know – I've only made this as written above.
Good recipe. I mixed leftover spaghetti in it.
Thank you for this recipe. I made it today for the homeless folks at a mission. They loved these pork chops. A server said they raved about them. I did brown each side to lock in the juices (all 70 pounds!) and I did not add all of the butter. The sauce did not split but there was a layer of pork fat on the top which made it look so. No matter, they were delicious. I did them in roasting ovens which worked really well even though the pork was stacked.
My husband and I are newly weds and this has become his favorite dish I cook! I usually double the sauce, put it over noodles and put the pork chop on top! We usually use lean pork chops(half inch thick), but I have a question. Can you use thicker pork chops (inch and a half to two inches)? Or instead of 6 lean pork chops bump the number up to 10? Would I then need to increase time? I try to meal prep over several days and he eats up the 6 lean pork chops to quickly! Thank you!
