Pin This RecipeAre you working on your Super Bowl menu? Well, these Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sliders should be on it! Chicken breasts slow cooked with buffalo wing sauce and Ranch dressing mix. Super simple and super delicious. This would be great for a Super Bowl party. People could assemble their sliders right out of the slow cooker!
We opted to serve the Buffalo Chicken on slider buns with some melted cheddar cheese and Ranch dressing. The cooked chicken would also be great on nachos, in tacos, or regular hamburger buns. If you want to keep this low-carb & keto-friendly, serve the chicken on a salad in a lettuce wrap with some cheese and green onions. YUM!
These sandwiches are a favorite at our house. We love this chicken for football parties and for an easy lunch or dinner. This recipe makes a lot of chicken, so I like to make the chicken and put half of it in freezer bags for a quick dinner later. Any way you decide to serve this spicy chicken, I guarantee it will be a hit!

Very good sliders
We love this recipe and have made it so many times! Very easy to make and always delicious. We don’t have dried ranch packets in Canada, so I use regular bottled ranch dressing and it works just fine.
I’ve purchased the dry Ranch dressing pkgs at Zehrs. You could also try Bulk Barn if your local Zehrs doesn’t carry them.
These are amazing. Any men that come over for a bbq or football game that my husband hosts, dig into these. They’re easy and great for people to help themselves to and it really doesn’t use many dishes
I bought a rotisserie chicken and shredded it so i didn't have to wait for the chicken to cook. I also used pepperjack cheese instead. Everyone said they were delicious!!
Do you mix everything together once it's put in the crock pot? Or just leave it how it's placed?
Either is fine. Just make sure to stir it up after you shred the chicken
Yes I would like to know also. I hate ranch.
Is the 1/4 cup ranch from a bottle of ranch, and used to top off the sandwhich?
Unknown – yes. Use the bottled ranch on top of the sandwiches
I have to toast the buns really well, so that the bread doesn't get soggy (I'm weird like that).
Do you put thawed chicken breasts in the slow cooker or frozen?
either is fine. I used thawed chicken because that is what I had on hand.
Question: Your recipe says 'Serves 8', but then also says to use 12 slider buns. Is this enough for 8 or 12 sliders? Thanks in advance!
I figured some people would eat more than one slider. There is definitely enough for at least 12 sliders – maybe more just depending on how much chicken you put on top of each bun.
Tried em'. LUV em' THANKS
Any thoughts on what I could use to replace the ranch dressing mix? I'm not a real ranch dressing fan, but my daughter loves anything with the words "buffalo" or "hot sauce" in it, so this could be a huge hit around here. 🙂
i was wondering if blue cheese dressing could be substituted.
tigerlicious25 – I'm not sure how that would work. I used just the dry mix. If you use dressing you will be adding a lot more liquid to the chicken.
Absolutely fantastic. It is impossible to stop eating these. I didn't change a thing, which is unusual for me. Great post! Thanks!
These babies look super good and so easy to prepare – perfect game food.
Easy and delicious! That is perfect game day food in my book too!
If I double the recipe, do I need to extend the cooking time?
Probably not.
We love this. We add 8 oz cream cheese after shredding and its creamy! We also use franks buffalo sauce instead of the original. You must try it!
sounds great!
