This only takes about 5 minutes to throw together and dinner is ready when you get home from work. Whip up some green beans or a salad and some bread for a meal the whole family will enjoy.
What does CRACK mean?
If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.
According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!
How to Make Slow Cooker Crack Chicken
This dish is effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker insert. Sprinkle cooked chopped bacon over chicken. In a medium saucepan, stir together cream of chicken soup, a packet of ranch seasoning mix, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and chicken broth in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the cream cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Pour sauce over the chicken mixture. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.

We serve the chicken over angel hair pasta. It is equally delicious over our favorite mashed potatoes or cooked rice. Just make sure to spoon all of that yummy sauce from the slow cooker. It is the BEST! Garnish the chicken with some parsley or green onions. Our favorite side dishes are green beans, asparagus, or broccoli. We also love some Jim N Nick’s Cheesy Biscuits to go along with the meal.
Leftovers are great shredded in a tortilla wrap, lettuce wrap, or on a sandwich bun. I also love the shredded chicken in the sauce with some pasta. YUM!

- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- ¾ cup cooked chopped bacon
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese
- 1 (10.5-oz) can cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 (1-oz) package Ranch dressing mix
- 1½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- Place chicken and bacon in a 6-qt slow cooker.
