This Slow Cooker Pizza Soup is a new favorite. It combines two of my all-time favorite foods – tomato soup and pizza. I can’t get enough of this creamy tomato soup loaded with sausage and pepperoni. YUM! All of my favorites rolled into one delicious dish. The best part about this recipe is that it is made in the slow cooker. Just dump everything in the slow cooker and let it work its magic!
How to Make Pizza Soup with Cream Cheese
This soup is super easy to make. Start with browning some Italian sausage. Place the sausage in the crockpot. Add pepperoni, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, sugar, tomato paste, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, and spaghetti sauce. Cover and cook. About 15 minutes before serving, add some onion and chive cream cheese to the soup. Stir to combine and serve.
- I used Johnsonville sweet Italian sausage. You can substitute regular breakfast sausage such as Jimmy Dean, if you prefer.
- Can substitute ground beef or ground turkey for sausage.
- My favorite store-bought spaghetti sauces are Trader Joe’s Roasted Garlic Marinara (green label), Rao’s, and La Famiglia DelGrosso.
- I used beef broth in this recipe. Feel free to substitute chicken broth or vegetable broth.
- This is a great recipe to add in more of your favorite pizza toppings – onions, bell peppers, olives, and mushrooms are great in this soup.
- If you are having problems incorporating the cream cheese, try using a whisk to get in mixed in the soup.
- Can add pasta to the soup. Add the pasta after you add the cream cheese and cook on HIGH for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Can I make this soup on the stovetop? Yes! Brown the meat, add the remaining ingredients except for the cream cheese. Bring to a boil and simmer. Stir in cream cheese and cook until melted.

This was delicious! Always looking for new soup recipes and this one was different and so good.
How do you think it would be without the cream cheese…I’m dairy free. Thanks!
I’m sure it would be fine.
