Pin This RecipeQuick & Easy Spicy Grilled Chicken Marinade
This Spicy Italian BBQ Ranch Grilled Chicken is on repeat in our house. It is super quick and easy to make and it tastes GREAT! It is delicious as a main dish, chopped up on a salad or chopped up in a tortilla wrap. We usually grill extra chicken so we can eat leftovers during the week. SO GOOD!
The chicken is marinated in a combination of Italian dressing, BBQ sauce, Ranch dressing, chili powder, and red pepper flakes. All of my favorites in one dish! I let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator overnight. I always prep the chicken before I go to bed so it is ready to grill for lunch or dinner the next day. If you don’t have that much time, just let the chicken marinate as long as possible.
How to Cook Spicy Italian BBQ Ranch Chicken on the Grill
My number one tip for cooking juicy and delicious chicken on the grill is to pound the chicken to an even thickness. We put the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and use a flat meat mallet to pound the chicken. Pounding the chicken will allow it to cook evenly on the grill. You won’t have a piece of half-cooked half-dry chicken.
Depending on the size of your chicken breasts, it should take about 12 to 15 minutes to cook on the grill. We like to flip the chicken every few minutes during the cooking time.
Can Grilled Chicken Be Pink?
NO! Unlike pork and beef, you don’t want any pink in your chicken. The internal temperature needs to be 165ºF. Use a meat thermometer to check the chicken.
How to Cook Grilled Chicken Without a Grill
Don’t have a grill and want to make this yummy grilled chicken? No problem! You can use a George Foreman Grill or cook it on the stove and oven. My preferred method is to pan sear the chicken for 3 minutes on each side and then bake it in a 400ºF oven for an additional 10 minutes.
What to Serve With Grilled Chicken
We love to eat this chicken with rice or potatoes and some green beans or asparagus. YUM! As I said, leftovers are great on a salad or in a tortilla wrap. Here are a few of our favorite side dish recipes on the blog that go great with this grilled chicken:

I swap 1 tablespoon of Chipotle Chili Powder for the regular chili powder and red pepper flakes. I pound the breasts before marinating overnight. Seriously delicious!! I always cook extra of this chicken to add to salads/sandwiches the next day.
