You will most definitely throw a hissy fit if you miss out on this Spinach & Artichoke Hissy Fit Dip. O-M-YUM! This is hands down the BEST spinach dip EVER. One bite and you will be blown away! Spinach, artichokes, sour cream, garlic herb seasoning, muenster cheese, and shredded Velveeta. This dip is so good that I ended up eating it as my lunch the day I made it for the blog. Sorry, not sorry!
How to Make Spinach & Artichoke Hissy Fit Dip
This dip is super easy to make. Thaw and squeeze the liquid from a package of frozen chopped spinach. Drain and finely chop a can of artichoke hearts. Mix together the spinach, chopped artichokes, sour cream, shredded muenster cheese, shredded Velveeta, and a packet of Lipton Savory Herb with Garlic soup mix. Spread the mixture into a baking dish and bake.
- I buy the Lipton’s Savory Herb with Garlic soup mix at Walmart. Do NOT make the soup. You are only using the seasoning mix in the packet.
- If you can’t find the soup mix, you can substitute a packet of Good Seasonings Italian Dressing Mix. Do NOT make the dressing. You are only using the seasoning packet.
- I used Velveeta shreds in this recipe. It is shredded Velveeta cheese. I found them at Walmart in the refrigerated cheese section with all the other bags of shredded cheese. It is great for dip recipes like this. If you can’t find the Velveeta shreds, just make sure to chop up your Velveeta really well. You don’t want big clumps of Velveeta in the dip.
- If you don’t like muenster or Velveeta, feel free to use any cheese that you prefer.
- I like to chop the artichoke hearts in a food processor.
- You can assemble the dip ahead of time and refrigerate it until you are ready to bake.
- Can Spinach & Artichoke Hissy Fit Dip be made in the slow cooker? Yes! Mix up the dip and place it in a 3-qt slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH or LOW until warm. This is great for parties!

Looks yummy
Can you use canned spinach(drained) or does it have to be frozen/thawed spinach?
I think canned spinach would be fine.
