How to Make Spinach Salad with Basil Green Goddess Dressing

This salad and homemade dressing is very easy to make. For the salad, tear some spinach into pieces and place in a bowl or on a plate. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, hard boiled eggs, red onion, and croutons. To make the salad dressing, combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, basil, green onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and enjoy!

  • You can make the salad with any of your favorite salad toppings. Avocado, radishes, bell peppers – whatever you want!
  • You can make the creamy basil dressing ahead of time and refrigerate it until you are ready to toss the salad. I usually make the dressing a day or two in advance of serving.
  • The dressing will keep up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
  • You can assemble the salad mixture in advance and refrigerate until ready to serve. Toss it with the dressing just before serving so the spinach isn’t soggy.
  • If you aren’t making this for a crowd,  just make as much salad as you want and toss it with a little dressing. YUM!
