The pork chops are marinated for about 30 minutes in a mixture of steak seasoning and Worcestershire sauce and then topped with an incredible steakhouse rub before grilling.

The steakhouse rub consists of brown sugar, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. There is a TINY kick from the cayenne pepper. SO tiny. If you are sensitive to heat, you can decrease the amount of cayenne. On the other hand, if you like spicy food, feel free to kick up the cayenne.

You will have some leftover rub. Just keep it in an airtight container for the next time you grill these pork chops. Because believe me when I tell you that you are definitely going to be making these pork chops again and again.

Make sure to coat both sides of the pork chops with the rub! You want to taste the flavor on both sides.

We brought some Ribeye Pork Chops at the grocery store for these Steakhouse Pork Chops. The Ribeye Pork Chop is another name for a bone-in rib chop.
If you don’t like bones, feel free to try the boneless Rib Chop or Boneless Sirloin Pork Chop.

Did you know that about one-third of the pork raised in the United States comes from Iowa? When you buy pork at any grocery store across the United States, you are supporting family farms in Iowa and the United States.

I know there are a lot of questions about how to safely cook pork. The safe internal pork cooking temperature for fresh pork cuts is 145ºF. To check doneness properly, use a digital cooking thermometer to measure the temperature at the thickest part of the cut without touching any bone. Once you have reached the desired internal temperature, remove from heat and let it rest for three minutes.

We were blown away at how delicious these Steakhouse Pork Chops tasted. Chicken Legs ate TWO for lunch. He has already requested them again this weekend AND for the 4th of July. These are going to be a staple in our house!

  1. Can I marinate the chops overnight? If so, do I just use the marinade or do I also use the rub? Thank you

  2. Made this for our restaurant-at-home dinner for family Valentine’s Day dinner. It was a BIG hit with everyone so I have already made a batch of the dry rub and another for my brother’s family (tired of hearing the whining 😁). Thank you for sharing this recipe!

        1. What are the instructions on the stove top in a cast iron skillet and can use bone in loin chops?

      1. This is my favprite pork chop recipe. When its cold out or when I dont feel like grilling. I get a cast iron pan ripping hot. Do a 2 to 3 minute sear on each side. Then pop the whole pan in a 350 degree oven to finish until the internal temp is 145 degrees.

  3. This recipe is in regular rotation at our house!

The first time I made this I had a pork tenderloin that I wanted to use and saw this while browsing Pinterest. So….

Marinated a pork tenderloin (both pieces) in a gallon sized baggie with the Worcestershire and Dale’s mixture for about 15 hours. Removed from marinade and patted them dry. Rubbed the dry seasoning on each piece, grilled until medium well, then let it rest 10 minutes.

The. Best. Pork. Tenderloin. Ever. I don’t think I’ll ever get around to using this on chops!

    1. I make this recipe ALL of the time. Its a household favorite. I make my own dales seasoning and use a cast iron skillet instead of the grill (it is very cold outside). Its so delicious i keep a shaker of the homemade steakhouse seasoning in the cabinet so i can make this dish on a moments notice. Thanks so much!

  4. Hi, i just made your homemade marinade to make your recipe for steakhouse pork chops. My question is do i just use it to marinate the chops or should i use the homemade + still add the worchestershire sauce cuz its also in the homemade version. TY in advance.

    1. It is totally up to you. The homemade marinade is to replace the Dale’s sauce, so I would usually still add the Worcestershire sauce.

  5. Sounds delicious. I am thinking of trying to grill pork ribs this week for the first time and wondered if this recipe would work for them…switch pork chops for pork ribs.

  6. It was too hot to cook these on the grill so I used the air fryer. Made them exactly as you said except I let them marinade overnight. So tender and delicious! Will make again. Thanks for a great recipe.

  7. I made these for dinner last night and they were delicious!! I ended up marinating them overnight, in total around 10 hours, and then baked them according to this author’s instructions on a comment above. This will definitely be a keeper in our rotation! Thank you for sharing this easy, yummy way to make pork chops!!

    1. How did you bake these??? I couldn’t find any directions on baking these…could you give us those directions please? Thanks!😊

  8. I’m getting ready to cook these for dinner tonight. Could they be pan fried in a cast iron skillet?

  9. Holy cow that was amazing! Made them on the stove and was so good we were dipping our bites in the pan drippings. definitely making again!

  10. This was my first experience in trying recipes from Plain Chicken and oh my goodness am I glad for that! This recipe made me start to like pork again!! Easy and delicious 😍

  11. I am wanting to start these in the Instant Pot or oven before throwing them on the grill(I have what we’re supposed to be 1” but they are more like 1 1/2” chops). Which would you recommend?

    1. Neither – I would just cook them a few minutes longer on the grill. If I had to choose one, definitely the oven.

  12. I was looking for something new to do with pork chops and decided to try out this recipe, it was a huge hit, the family just loved it! This recipe will definitely go into the normal dinner rotation, thanks for the recipe!

  13. Oh My God!! These are the BEST pork Chops EVER! I made these a few weeks ago on thick boneless center cut chops and they were to die for. I’m marinating 4 nice bone in chops as I am writing this, and I can’t wait to sink my teeth in these baby’s! I think I would put this dry rub on pancakes and grill them. NOT kidding! Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe.

    1. Tried the pork chops. Couldn’t use the steak seasoning (sodium) used Mrs. Dash seasonings. My husband liked them, he’s usually a basic seasoning person.
      Will have again.

  14. Has anyone tried these in the air fryer? I was looking for air fryer recipes on Pinterest, and this one popped up. The flavors sound amazing.

    1. I always cook them in my (Emerill Legasse) Air Fryer; they are wonderful!! I cook it at 380 degrees for 12 – 24 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chop. (I usually use the 3/4″-1″ thick ones which take longer.) The Internal temperature should be at least 145 degrees.

  15. Great Recipe! Used the all purpose marinade as noted and marinated 4 hours, taste was really good. I'd try 24 hours next time for even more flavor. Will definitely make often.

  16. I want to make these for tomorrow's dinner, however, my supermarket only had the regular Dale's Marinade, so do I need to reduce the amount of Kosher salt?

    1. I definitely would. I would probably use 1 Tbsp salt or eliminate the salt all together in the rub and just add salt after cooking.

  17. Replace the Dales with Moore's steak marinade if you can find it. A similar marinade without all the Salt that Dales has.In my opinion much better flavor profile..

  18. Can these be baked and if so what temp and how long? Also, approximately how long did you grill on each side? Can’t wait to make these! Thanks!

    1. We only grilled them about 10 minutes total.

You could bake them at 375ºF for 30 to 35 minutes – until they reach an internal temperature of 145ºF
