These Super Soft Rice Krispie Treats are the Rice Krispie Treats of your dreams! SUPER soft and they stay that way for DAYS!! Perfect to make ahead for parties or pop in the mail to a friend. The secret to getting super soft treats? Sweetened condensed milk. Most Rice Krispie treats are great the day you make them, but not so much a day or two later. Not these! These treats stay soft for 3 to 4 days. I say that, but I’m not 100% sure that is true. We gobbled these up in no time. Give these a try ASAP!
How to Make Super Soft Rice Krispie Treats
These treats are super easy to make. Start with melting butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-low heat. Add sweetened condensed milk and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Add marshmallows and stir continuously until melted. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in vanilla extract, crispy rice cereal, and an additional cup of mini marshmallows. Using a spatula, press the cereal mixture into a baking dish or baking pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the treats are firm. Cut into squares and enjoy.

Debating trying this recipe with cocoa pebbles? Any thoughts?
I think it would be delicious.
Have you ever added peanut butter? If so, how much and did they set up correctly?
I have not tried adding peanut butter. If you try it, let us know how it turns out!
Question– is it 1- 10oz bag mini marshmallows PLUS another 1c to add in later? Or 1 bag, remove a cup for mixing in later before melting?
one bag PLUS one cup of marshmallows. You can skip the extra marshmallows if you prefer. We just like the extra whole marshmallows.
This are in the fridge now. Waiting is hard.
Just a heads up that Rice Krispies brand cereal is NOT gluten free. It contains malt which is from barley.
