These Swiss Pork Chops are the best thing we ate last week. OMG! Pork chops topped with swiss cheese and Texas toast croutons. Not only are these pork chops super delicious, they are also super easy to make! Can’t beat quick, easy, and delicious! We both thought these were the best pork chops we ever have eaten. SO tender, juicy, and full of flavor. All you need is some green beans and a biscuit and dinner is done.
How to Make Swiss Pork Chops
These Swiss Pork Chops are super easy to make. They were ready to bake before the oven had preheated! Place the pork chops in a baking dish. Top with swiss cheese, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth. Top the pork chops with crushed Texas toast croutons and bake. SO simple!
The key to keeping the pork chops nice and juicy is to make sure you don’t overcook them. Pork chops are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145ºF. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.

I’ve made this before. It’s very good. Now that we are empty nesters I only need to make 2 Pork Chops so I still used a 9 x 13 pan and diced up some red skinned potatoes. I made the sauce as if for 6 chops and poured it over the chops and potatoes and then sprinkled the crushed croutons over all. I can’t wait for it to come out of the oven!
This has become one of my favorite easy weeknight recipes. The croutons are a bit salty so I do not add the extra salt.
If you use center cut with a bone pork chops, does it change the cooking time?
yes – it will take longer to cook
We made these tonight and they were fantastic!!! We made a few modifications that i wanted to share! We did four boneless chops with the Swiss on top, then we sprinkled parmesan cheese over the Swiss. Next we used cream of mushroom soup and topped with French fried onions. For a side we did Knorrs teriyaki rice and added lots of the gravy on top!
I am trying this recipe for the first time and didn’t realize I didn’t have the cream of chicken soup or the croutons…do I used cream of mushroom soup and french fried crispy jalapeños for the topping.
Sure hope it’s as good as everyone else’s.
I’ll be back later to let you know.
sounds delicious!
Yummy!! This is so tasty and is perfect for a cool fall night. We keep coming back to it! Love serving it with diced potatoes as a side.
Omg this recipe is soooo good! I did add ranch seasoning and a bbq rub and cooked it at 375 for 25 mins. This is delicious!!!!
What can I use in place of the chicken broth?
water? milk? beef broth?
Vegetable broth perhaps.
Are these thick cut or thin? I just bought thin cut so hopefully that will work.
My pork chops were about an inch thick – just cook yours a little less and they should be just fine.
I browned the chops first and added lemon zest and juice to the sauce. Next time I’ll add some garlic and nutmeg.
Have family members who will not eat swiss cheese. What other cheese would be a good substitute please
Any cheese you prefer should work fine.
I have made this for years using chicken. Can’t wait to try it with chops.
This recipe looks like chicken, is it chicken or pork?
it is pork chops as listed in the recipe
Just wondering if you cook this covered or uncovered ?
I cooked it uncovered.
