Back at the end of March, we took a super quick trip to San Francisco. I spoke at a conference in Los Angeles, and we decided to hit up San Francisco for a few days before we went to LA.
We’ve been to San Francisco several times. It had been a while since our last trip, so we were excited to visit again. We spent most of our limited time doing touristy things. We took a boat ride under the Golden Gate Bridge, a boat to Sausalito, ate at some great restaurants and tried to relax!
We packed a lot in for only being in town for two full days!
The Golden Gate Bridge
I think it goes without saying that The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most iconic symbols of San Francisco. We took a boat tour of the bay to get up close and personal with the bridge.
We got lucky with the weather. It was beautiful the day we did our boat tour!
We took the hour San Francisco Bay Cruise Adventure from Blue & Gold Fleet at Pier 39.
It was $30/each. Totally worth it.

After the cruise, we snagged some donuts at Pier 39.
SO good!!!
They were fresh and hot and super yummy!
Do NOT miss these!

Fishermans Warf
LOVE the stinky, loud sea lions!
Chicken Legs had an afternoon snack at the Warf.
I snagged an In-N-Out Burger for my afternoon snack!
Ghiradelli
We started our next day out at Ghirardelli.
Ghirardelli is a MUST on our San Francisco trips.
It just tastes better in San Francisco. š
We split the Brownie Sundae.
SO good!!
It was worth every single calorie!
I figured we walked it all off anyway with all those hills we walked!

Napa Valley Burger Company
We took the ferry over to Sausalito. We took the boat from Blue & Gold Fleet at Pier 39.
It goes back and forth all day long.
We got off the boat and headed straight to the Napa Valley Burger Company.
We snagged two seats at the bar.
I ordered the Stinson Beach BBQ Burger – smoked gouda, applewood bacon, crispy onion ring, bourbon BBQ sauce. It was ridiculously good!
Chicken Legs got the Fish Filet Sandwich -seared Cod filet, house made coleslaw, lettuce, onion, tartar sauce dressing, mixed greens side salad. It was gone in a flash. I was lucky to get a picture of it!
At Napa Valley Burger Company the fries aren’t included with the burgers. One order is more than enough for two people! They are really good too!

Copita
We had some time to kill before the next ferry back to town, so we stopped in at Copita for a drink.
Copita was recommended by the bartender at Napa Valley Burger Company.
It was a GREAT recommendation. The food smelled amazing – we are totally coming back here on our next trip.
The cocktails were amazing! I wished I could have drank every single one on the menu!
After much deliberation and discussion with the bartender, I chose The Hummingbird – Tequila reposado, Hum liqueur, lemon, agave nectar. The best tequila cocktail I’ve ever drank.
Chicken Legs got the Smoking Gun – Xicaru mezcal, st. germain, tequila blanco, lime, grapefruit. He isn’t a tequila fan, but he loved the cocktail! It was SO good!
Copita is a great place to go when you are in Sausalito!

Harris’ The San Francisco Steakhouse
We had two nice dinners in San Francisco, Harris’ was one of them.
We always try to eat at one steakhouse on our trips, and Harris’ was one of the best!
It was incredible. Definitely a treat!
The waiters were perfect – attentive but not trying to eat with you.
Chicken Legs started with a Caesar Salad – he said it was great.
The steaks come with a potato side and vegetable. We had a choice of a scalloped potatoes and baked potato.
For our entrees, I got a filet and the scalloped potatoes. OMG – just give me two or three servings of those scalloped potatoes next time. Insanely good! The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly.
Chicken Legs got the Prime Rib. It was to-die-for.
He also got a side of mushrooms – he loves mushrooms and said these were delicious!
There was NO room for dessert. Maybe next time!

Lombard Street
We stopped at Lombard Street on our way back to the hotel.
It is a HIKE! OMG! BUT totally worth it!
The view from the top is great!
Original Joe’s
I saved our favorite restaurant for last.
We loved every single thing about Original Joe’s. The food, the drinks and the atmosphere.
We started with an order of Arancini – I can’t resist arancini.
They were delicious! We tried not to eat them all, to save room for dinner, but we ended up eating every single one! SO good!
We shared our entrees.
We got an order of Carbonara and an order of Chicken Parmesan. The Chicken Parmesan came with a side of ravioli. It was WAY too much food! BUT it was crazy delicious!
The Carbonara was super creamy and tasted amazing. I wanted to lick the bowl it was so good!
The Chicken Parmesan was so delicious! We loved the red sauce. YUM!
We sampled a ravioli, but we were totally concentrating on the chicken and carbonara.
I would most definitely go back to Original Joe’s on our next trip to San Francisco.
We absolutely loved it!

We packed SO much into only two full days in the city.
We had a blast! We can’t wait to come back!!
What are your favorite places and things to do in San Francisco?
I need to get my list going for our next trip!
We are planning a trip to San Fran /Napa in April. We are so excited for it. We have add some places to go and eat from this post! Have you ever been to Napa/ have any suggestions for there?
We used to live near San Francisco, and when we go back to visit, we usually go to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf also. My sister-in-law's boyfriend works on the Blue and Gold Fleet. You took some great pictures of the bridge!
You guys are really the world travelers. I have never been to a large city that I really liked (more of a see the mountains guy) but I enjoyed SF more than most.
I just love reading about your excursions-your details and enthusiasm are contagious! You always make me want to go where you have been.
