Can you use anything besides Bisquick? Or besides homemade biscuit recipe? š
Steph- I love all your recipes, but this one has been in the oven 45 minutes and it's still milk soup. Are you sure 1.5 cups milk and 3/4 cup bisquick is right for balancing pizza sauce and milk?
How did it turn out in the end? How long did it cook for?
I would guess that you could use a refrigerator pizza dough for the top instead of the other since your ingredients are cooked. Just a thought.
Yes. I use 93% or 96% lean ground and it's $7.00 at Food Lion. Pepperoni pack is $3.50. Pizza sauce is $3.00. The mozzarella cheese is $3.00. The Bisquick is $3.00. The parmasean cheese is $2.00. Thankfully, I already have oregano, milk and eggs. but if I have to buy those items, milk is $2.00, eggs are $2.00 and oregano is $2.00.
My kid loves a plain cheese pizza which costs about $10 at the local pizza joint. This recipe looks great but after adding the cost of the ingredients, it costs 3 times the $10 pizza cost.
I'm surprised your estimate was so high. I figured that it would cost me about $12, and that's assuming that nothing was on sale and I had none of the ingredients in my house. Looks great – can't wait to try it!
