It’s my favorite day of the week! Football Friday! I’m so excited for all the college and NFL games this weekend. Watching football requires lots of yummy food. This Warm Crack Chicken Dip is definitely going to be on our menu. Cheesy chicken dip loaded with cheddar, bacon, and ranch – YUM! I can make a meal out of just this yummy dip. You will definitely score a touchdown if you show up with this dip to your football party!
How to Make Warm Crack Chicken Dip
This Warm Crack Chicken Dip is super easy to make. My number one tip is to use rotisserie chicken for the cooked chicken in the recipe. Rotisserie chicken is my secret weapon in my kitchen. I always have bags of pulled rotisserie chicken in the freezer for quick recipes like this one.
To make the dip, combine cream cheese, sour cream, chicken, ranch dressing mix, bacon, and cheddar cheese. SUPER easy! Pop it in the oven and you are minutes away from some seriously delicious dip.
If you are looking to cut back on the calories in this dip, feel free to use low-fat cream cheese, low-fat sour cream, and turkey bacon. I haven’t tried this dip with plain Greek yogurt, but I am sure it would still taste great!
Can Crack Chicken Dip Be Made in Advance?
Absolutely! I almost always whip this dip up the night before our parties and keep it in the refrigerator until we are ready to start watching football. If you do make this in advance and refrigerate the dip, you will probably need to add about 5 minutes to the cooking time since the dip will be cold.
What to Serve with Warm Crack Chicken Dip
We love to eat this Warm Crack Chicken Dip with Fritos or Tostitos Scoops. If you are looking to keep this dip low-carb/keto-friendly, look for low-carb chips or try some carrot or celery sticks. Can you believe this dip is low-carb, Keto-friendly, and gluten-free?!?!?! Woohoo! Most of all this dip is AH-MAZ-ING!

I can’t find the recipe!😠

How long would you cook the dip in a crock pot ?
probably about 2 to 4 hours
Could you make this in the crockpot?
yes
Can I do this with the same measurements but without the bacon? Or do I need to decrease anything?
Any changes and modifications to the recipe would be up to you.
Can I freeze leftovers?
You can but the texture might change. Cool it to room temperature and store in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Would this be good with adding Rotel in it?? I’m making it tonight and bought some just in case. It sounds good in my head….haha!
If it sounds good to you, go for it.
I made this for a July 4th Cookout yesterday…Everyone raves about it! Definitely was a huge hit!
This sounds delicious. Would a beanless chili added to this be good do you think?
That would be up to you. If you think it sounds good, then go for it.
Can you make in the crock pot
Sure!
This is a hit everytime! I recommend adding a small can of jalapeños for added flavor. Thanks for the great recipe.
Can I use Mozzarella cheese instead?
You can use any cheese you want.
Would the crockpot timing be the same as oven timing?
I think it would take longer in the crockpot to get warm.
Can you use canned chicken in thus recipe?
sure
OMG!! I made this in one big bowl. Half of it I used sambal olek for the hot spice. It came out very good. It taste even better next day, just zap it in microwave . I brought it to work we had it with sea salt lemon chips. so good. I used barb chicken and shredded it , love the flavor.
What are the green herbs in the dip in the photo? I don’t see it listed in the recipe. Thanks!
that would be the ranch packet and a sprinkle of dried parsley
Can you use bottled Ranch dressing and if so how much?
