We just got back from a trip to Vegas. We went out for Chicken Legs birthday. It is his favorite place!
We ate our way up and down The Strip. Check out some of our favorites.
We found a new favorite – I was shocked that we loved it so much!!!
LVB Burgers and Bar
We were starving when we got off the plane in Vegas, so we decided to grab a quick bite in the hotel.
LVB Burgers and Bar recently opened, so we decided to give it a try.
We started with the Loaded Potato Bites.
Bacon, cheddar, chives, sour cream
They were surprisingly good!
Chicken Legs got the L.V.B. (LAS VEGAS BOULEVARD BURGER)
American cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, boulevard sauce
He ate the whole thing! He said it was really good.
We split an order of curly fries. YUM!
I got the B.C.B. (BACON CHEESE BURGER)
Applewood smoked bacon, onion straws, beer cheddar sauce
The beer cheese sauce – YUM!
And those onion straws – double YUM!
I loved everything! LVB Burger is a great place to grab a burger.

Buddy V’s Ristorante
Buddy V’s is located in The Palazzo. We’ve eaten dessert here, but we’ve never had a meal here.
The reviews were good on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try for lunch.
We started with Aunt Nina’s Mozzarella en Carozza – Jersey City style fried mozzarella, crostini, tomato ragu, genovese pesto.
Basically, a yummy fried pesto and mozzarella cheese sandwich served with marinara.
YUM!
For our entrees we shared an order of Grandma’s Meatballs.
SO good!
We also shared the Bucatini Carbonara.
At the waitresses suggestion, we added Italian sausage.
O-M-G!
This was the best thing we ate in Vegas.
I wanted to lick the bowl. It was that good!!
Next time, I am ordering my own bowl and NOT sharing with Chicken Legs! š
I bought Buddy’s cookbook so I could get the recipe. I will be making this in the next few weeks.
It is seriously my favorite. GET THIS if you go to Vegas!
We couldn’t go to The Cake Boss’ place and not try dessert.
Carlo’s Bakery is right across from the restaurant.
GO EARLY! The line gets insane later in the day.
We got a few cookies – the sprinkle. YUM!
This M&M cookie was my FAVORITE!
Ooey, gooey, buttery and AMAZING.
I will be getting a few of these to take home next time.
LOVE!
We wanted to try a dessert from Buddy V’s Ristorante.
We went back one afternoon for this Warm Nutella Cake.
This was the best dessert we’ve ever eaten!
The chocolate sauce, salted caramel ice cream, hazelnut praline crunch and all that warm Nutella.
This dessert is a MUST in Vegas!
Buddy V’s was surprisingly good.
I wasn’t sure a reality TV star’s place would be good, but Buddy V’s proved me wrong.
It wasn’t good, it was GREAT.
We already have plans to eat here on our next trip this Fall.
It is a new favorite that is on our must eat list when in Vegas.

Old Homestead
Old Homestead in Caesar’s Palace is one of our favorite steakhouses.
We always sit at the bar.
The Thick Cut Applewood Smoked Bacon is a MUST!
YUM!
I always get the Old Homestead Burger.
10 oz. dry-aged āPat LaFriedaā burger seared in an 800°F, 50-year-old seasoned cast iron pan, brioche bun toasted in foie gras butter, aged Tillamook Cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, duck fat fries, bourbon ketchup
It is one of the best burgers around!

Mon Ami Gabi
Mon Ami Gabi at Paris is another favorite.
On this trip, we made sure to try a few new dishes.
We couldn’t pass up the Chicken Poutine.
Hand-cut fries, grilled chicken, jarlsberg cheese, fried cheese curds, parsley-arugula jus topped with a poached egg.
This was CRAZY good!!! I could make this my meal next time.
Chicken Legs got one of the specials – a Crab and Corn Wedge Salad with chickpea croutons and topped with a green goddess dressing.
He said it was great. I believe it – it looks incredible!
I went with the Ham Crepe.
I LOVED the cheese sauce on top. SO good!

Lavo
Lavo is one of our favorite places to grab a drink and an appetizer.
Our favorite appetizer is the Arancini. Fried risotto balls stuffed with Kobe beef.
SO good!
This time we also got a giant Meatball topped with Fresh Ricotta.
It was so big that we could only eat about half of it.
It is worth the trip!

Neon Museum
I’ve always wanted to go to the Neon Museum, and we finally made the trip!
It was SO much fun! We did the night tour, so the signs were lit up.
Only a few of the signs have been restored and light up.
The rest of the signs have colored lights shining on them.
The guided tour lasts about an hour. They share tons of history of Vegas and the signs.
I highly recommend the tour.
Make sure to book a tour early – they sell out fast.
There are also limited night tours.
The museum is located at the far north end of Las Vegas Boulevard.
We took Uber and it was only about $10.
We used Uber the whole time we were in Vegas. Uber can even pick you up at the airport.
It is SOOOOO much better than a cab. The cabs can be sketchy in Vegas.

Public House
We ate at Public House in the Venetian for lunch.
Chicken Legs got the Lobster Roll. It had lots of lobster and was served in a yummy roll!
The onion rings were AWESOME!
Wishing I had a few right now!!
I got the French Dip. I LOVE French Dips and this one did not disappoint.
I loved the crispy fried onion straws.
YUM!

Carbone
Carbone is my favorite place for dinner in Las Vegas.
I absolutely LOVE it.
This was our second time eating here.
We got the Prosciutto and Mozzarella appetizer.
There were three types of prosciutto – sweet, smoky and salty.
The mozzarella is made in-house. It was warm when they brought it to the table.
They cut the mozzarella right at the table and place it on top of the prosciutto.
SO GOOD!
For our entree, we shared the Ribeye Diana.
Incredible!
Since we didn’t get dessert on our first visit, we had to get the Bananas Foster.
They prepare it table side.
SO good! Save room for dessert.
Perfect ending to our trip!!!

We already have our next trip to Vegas booked.
We will definitely be eating at Buddy V’s and Carbone.
We have reservations at Golden Steer Steakhouse – it was Sinatra’s favorite place. This was a recommendation from our Uber driver.
We are also going to try and eat at Heritage Steak in The Mirage.
Where is your favorite place to eat in Vegas?
What should me check out on our trip this Fall?
Don’t miss our previous Vegas posts:
Thank you very much for these suggestions! I added Buddy V and Carbon to our list for this summer's trip! I would like to suggest you try the Golden Steer the next time you are in Vegas. OMG – the best steak I have ever had. They have a table side service for a fresh Caeser salad that is a must.
We love the Golden Steer! We've eaten there several times and always recommend it. Old school Vegas at its best!
Stephanie – your food and drink recommendations are amazing! I always save them. Would you mind doing a post on where you stay and other things you might recommend (shows, shopping, etc)?
I absolute love your blogs about the restaurants you go to with your recommendations and also the websites so you can check out the menus. Thanks so much for doing this – so helpful.
I will check it out! Thank you! We are going to venture off the strip this fall. So much easier to get around now that Uber is there!
Thanks for all of the great advice on where and what to eat in Las Vegas. I know a lot of people trust Yelp and I noticed you did for one of the restaurants, but I've found that many reviews on Yelp are not to be trusted and sometimes seem to be written by people with anger issues and as we all know…many things are written under the veil of anonymity. I prefer to read blogs like yours that provide good pictures and honest reviews or listen to the advice of friends who know me and my likes and have been to the particular places. I file all of your blog reviews in folders for future reference. Thanks for such a nice post. It's already filed!
Yelp is a good guide, but you definitely need to take some of those reviews with a grain of salt!
The pizza place inside the Palazzo is great. We also tried 800 degrees pizza just outside the Monte Carlo I would definitely recommend them.
I haven't tried the pizza place outside of the Monte Carlo – we will check it out.
Buca di Beppo in Excalibur had such yummy cheese ravioli! Also, we did the Tournament of Kings dinner show, that was fun š Eating a Cornish hen with your hands…Huzzah!!
My favorite place to eat in Las Vegas is my own kitchen. No reservations needed, no waiting line, no tips necessary but you can Kiss the Cook!
OMG, You are making me hungry, all the food looked wonderful. Can't wait to see your copy cat recipes.
