We went down to St. Augustine, FL last month. We stayed in downtown St. Augustine at the Casa Monica. It was the PERFECT location! We played golf one day, went to The Players golf tournament one day, and shopped one day. It was a great vacation!

We love St. Augustine! We’ve been going down there for years. There is so much to do and so many great places to eat! We love trying new places and eating at old favorites.

We tried three new places on this trip. They were all good – one is a new favorite! We also hit up a few places that we haven’t eaten at for many years. They were still as good as we’d remembered.

Have you ever been to St. Augustine? What are your favorite places to eat? I need to start a new list for our next trip!

Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille

fried grit cake with cream sauce
Harry’s is one of our favorite places in St. Augustine.
It has a great atmosphere and delicious food.
We waited a few extra minutes so we could get a seat outside in the courtyard.

It was a nice evening and there was live music. Perfect!

We started the meal with an order of the Fried Grit Cake with tasso ham cream sauce.
It is listed under the side dishes, but it makes a great appetizer!

Sampler Platter with sausage, fish, shrimp creole and red beans and rice
Chicken Legs got a sampler platter. It had sausage, fish, shrimp creole, and red beans and rice.
He loved it!

Pizzalley’s Chianti Room

Bruschetta
Pizzalley’s is on the main shopping street in St. Augustine. It is a walk up pizza slice place.
If you walk straight through the pizza place you will find a full-service restaurant – The Chianti Room! We ate here on one of our first trips to St. Augustine. It has been YEARS, so we decided to give it a try again on this trip.
We started with some Bruschetta.
A blend of tomato, fresh basil, and garlic on our homemade bread, topped with melted whole milk mozzarella cheese and balsamic glaze.
