Steakhouse Sautéed Mushrooms – mushrooms sautéed in butter, onion, white wine, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Super easy to make and ready in about 30 minutes. Tastes just as good, if not better than the fancy steakhouses.
Equipment:
10-inch Skillet
Ingredients:
3
Tbsp
butter
1
lb
fresh mushrooms
sliced
1
Tbsp
dried minced onion
¼
cup
dry white wine
¼
tsp
salt
¼
tsp
pepper
1
clove
garlic,
pressed
2
tsp
Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Melt butter in large skillet. Add mushrooms and sauté for a few minutes, until mushrooms start to soften.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cook uncovered over low heat for 30 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
Notes:
Can substitute chicken broth, beef broth, or water for white wine.
You can use any sliced fresh mushrooms that you enjoy. White button mushrooms, baby bella, cremini mushrooms, or shitake mushrooms all work great.
Sometimes I sprinkle the mushroom with Montreal Steak Seasoning and omit the salt and black pepper.
Feel free to add some fresh herbs to the mushrooms. Oregano or fresh thyme is wonderful.
