Oven Toasted Ravioli - baked not fried! SO easy to make and ready to eat in about 15 minutes. Can bake in the oven or air fryer. Frozen ravioli, dipped in egg and coated in Italian breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese and baked. Dip in warm marinara or pesto. Great for parties!
Whisk together egg and milk in shallow bowl. In another bowl or pie plate, combine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.
Dip ravioli in egg and then in bread crumbs. Place on baking sheet. Repeat until all ravioli are coated. Spray ravioli with cooking spray.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with warm marinara or pesto.
Notes:
Can use frozen or refrigerated ravioli.
There is no need to precook the ravioli before baking.
You can use any type of ravioli that you enjoy. I usually use cheese ravioli.
I use store-bought Italian bread crumbs. You can also use panko bread crumbs with some Italian seasoning mixed in.
You can use freshly grated parmesan cheese or the parmesan cheese in the green can. I do not recommend shredded parmesan cheese. You want the cheese to have more of a powder/bread crumb consistency.
Can I make Oven Toasted Ravioli in the air fryer? Yes! Coat the ravioli and place in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook at 350ºF for 7 to 9 minutes.
Can Oven Toasted Ravioli be frozen? Yes! You can coat the ravioli and place them on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven and freeze. Transfer the frozen ravioli to a freezer bag. You can bake the ravioli frozen and add a few minutes to the cooking time.
