BBQ Chicken Burgers - loaded with tons of delicious flavors! Chicken, barbecue sauce, ranch seasoning, bacon, cheese, and french fried onions. All of my favorite foods in one bite! Can cook the burgers on the grill or inside in a skillet. Great for cookouts, potlucks, and an easy weeknight meal! Can make the patties ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze or later. Add these to your menu ASAP!
Prepare grill or grill pan. Cook chicken patties for 4 or 5 minutes per side, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
Notes:
Unlike beef or pork, the chicken burgers must be cooked well-done to be safe to eat. Use a meat thermometer to make sure that the internal temperature is 165ºF.
To make your own ground chicken, place one pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs cut into large chunks, into a food processor, and pulse until chicken is finely chopped.
Can substitute ground turkey.
You can make these chicken burgers ahead of time and refrigerate overnight or freeze them uncooked for later.
I usually double the recipe and freeze half the burgers uncooked so we can have a quick meal later.
My favorite store-bought BBQ sauces are Sweet Baby Rays, Stubbs, G.Hughes, and Williamson Brothers. I buy them all at Walmart.

I use a kitchen scale and a burger press with burger papers to make the patties. I buy everything on Amazon. Here are the products that we use (affiliate links):
