Brush tops of sandwiches with remaining butter.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Notes:
I use Sunbeam white bread. You can use any bread that you enjoy.
I use Kraft Deluxe American Cheese slices.
You can use any cheese that you would like. You can even mix the cheeses for a combo flavor!
Cheddar
Pepper Jack
Gouda
Swiss
Muenster
Mozzarella
Provolone
You can use unsalted or salted butter.
Feel free to add some garlic powder or garlic salt to the melted butter for extra flavor.
There is no need to flip the sandwiches while they cook. They will get nice and toasty on both sides.
Can Tasted Cheese Sandwiches be made in advance? You can assemble the sandwiches ahead of time and refrigerate them until you are ready to bake.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Reheat in the microwave or wrapped in aluminum foil in the oven.
