Awesome Sauce Party Meatballs – these party meatballs are AWESOME! They are always the first thing to go at our parties. Frozen meatballs, honey mustard dressing, teriyaki sauce, and hot sauce. Ready to eat in under 30 minutes. Can also slow cook in the crockpot. Great for tailgating, potlucks, and holiday parties! Equally delicious as a main dish.
In a Dutch Oven or large saucepan over medium heat, combine honey mustard, teriyaki sauce, and hot sauce.
Add frozen meatballs to Dutch Oven and cook on medium-low for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring often.
Notes:
I used Frank’s Hot Sauce. You can use Frank’s Wing Sauce or Crystal’s hot sauce.
For the honey mustard dressing, I use Ken’s or Sweet Baby Ray's.
Are Awesome Sauce Meatballs spicy? Yes. There is a definite kick from the hot sauce in this recipe. Feel free to reduce the hot sauce to your personal preference. Start with half of the hot sauce amount and add a teaspoon at a time until you reach the desired heat.
I used premade frozen meatballs in this recipe. There is no need to thaw them before cooking.
You can also make your own meatballs if you prefer.
Can use ground beef meatballs or turkey meatballs for this recipe.
I buy the smaller 1/2-ounce meatballs. Feel free to use larger meatballs if you prefer.
Can I make Awesome Sauce Meatballs in the Crockpot? Yes! In a small bowl, whisk together honey mustard dressing, teriyaki sauce, and hot sauce. Place frozen meatballs in a crockpot. Pour sauce mixture over the meatballs and cook on LOW for a couple of hours. Keep the meatballs in the slow cooker during the party and they will stay nice and warm.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Reheat meatballs in the microwave, on the stovetop, or in a baking pan covered in aluminum foil in the oven.
