Sloppy Joe Soup Recipe - All the flavors of sloppy joes in soup form! Ground beef, onion, sloppy joe seasoning, beef broth, kidney beans, Manwich sauce, diced tomatoes, corn, hot sauce, and chili powder. Can make the soup on the stovetop or in the slow cooker. Ready to eat in about 30 minutes. Add this to your menu for a quick and easy weeknight meal the whole family will enjoy!
In a large Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
Add the remaining ingredients to the pot.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes.
Notes:
Can substitute ground turkey.
Can I make Sloppy Joe Soup in the slow cooker? Yes! Brown the ground beef. Add it to the crock pot. Add remaining ingredients. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW heat for 6 to 8 hours.
Feel free to add some fresh vegetables to the soup - a chopped medium onion or green bell peppers are great additions. Diced potatoes are also delicious.
Sauté the onion and peppers in the pot when browning the beef.
This is more like a soup than a chili. If you want a thicker consistency, reduce the amount of beef broth.
