Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
Serve over pasta, rice or potatoes.
Notes:
I use boneless skinless chicken breasts. Can substitute chicken thighs or chicken tenderloins.
Feel free to throw some vegetables into the slow cooker. Spinach and broccoli are great additions.
I use precooked real bacon bits from Costco and Sam's Club. It is real bacon that is precooked and chopped.
Substitute turkey bacon for lower calories.
I serve the chicken breasts whole. Feel free to shred the chicken.
Prepare the recipe as written. Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
Can I freeze Crack Chicken? Yes. Cook the chicken and cool completely. Place the chicken and sauce in freezer bags and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
