1¼cupsshredded cheddar cheese, divided
1(10.75-oz)can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
salt and pepper, to taste
3cupscooked chopped chicken
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until it starts to thicken, 3 or 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir in 3/4 cups cheddar cheese, cream of chicken or mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Add chicken and cooked spaghetti to cheese sauce and mix well.
Transfer spaghetti mixture to prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
Can use any cheese in place of cheddar cheese.Can add bell pepper and 1 (4-oz) jar diced pimentos, drained to spaghetti mixture.Can add frozen green peas or spinach too spaghetti mixture.Can prepare through Step 6 and freeze for later.To bake after freezing, thaw completely and bake as directed above.
