French Onion Broccoli Cheese Casserole - hands down the BEST broccoli casserole! Even our broccoli haters loved this casserole. Only 5 ingredients - broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, french onion dip, cheddar cheese, and french fried onions. Can assemble ahead of time and refrigerate overnight. 1lbbroccoli florets, chopped
1(10.75-oz)can Cream of Mushroom soup
1cuprefrigerated sour cream based French Onion Dip
1½cupsshredded cheddar cheese
1(6-oz)container French fried onions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a 9x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine chopped broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, French onion dip, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 1/2 of the French fried onions.
Spread broccoli mixture into prepared pan.
Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake an additional 5 minutes.
Make sure to use sour cream French onion dip such as Dean's, Great Value, Barber's, Heluva Good Dip, or Kraft.
If you can't find the sour cream dip, you can substitute sour cream and a few tablespoons of onion soup mix.
You can assemble the casserole in advance and refrigerate or freeze for later.
To bake after freezing, thaw completely and bake as directed.
