Tortilla Pizza - cracker-thin pizza. So easy to make and tastes great! Tortillas topped with pizza sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. Can use flour, whole wheat, gluten-free, or low-carb tortillas. Everyone can customize the pizza with their favorite toppings. A fun change to pizza night!
Ingredients:
1soft taco flour tortillas
3Tbsppizza sauce
1/2cupmozzarella cheese
toppings of your choice - pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, peppers
cooking spray
Instructions:
Place large baking sheet or pizza stone in oven. Preheat to 425°F.
Spread pizza sauce on the tortilla - spread to the edge of the tortilla. Top with cheese and toppings.
Remove baking sheet or pizza stone from the oven once preheated. Place assembled pizza on a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone. Lightly spray pizza with cooking spray.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes:
The key to getting a nice crispy crust is to preheat the pan in the oven for at least 10 minutes before placing the tortillas on the pan. Once the oven has preheated, place the assembled pizza on the pan and bake.
You can use any size tortilla you prefer - burrito-sized, soft taco size, or fajita-size tortillas all work fine. You can use flour tortillas or whole wheat tortillas.
For a low-carb dish, use low-carb tortillas.
Use gluten-free tortillas for a gluten-free pizza.
Can I use corn tortillas? Absolutely! Corn tortillas will be fine.
You can use any cheese that you enjoy. Mozzarella cheese, provolone cheese, or cheddar cheese all work great.
Can I make Tortilla Pizza in the air fryer? Yes. Place the tortilla ain the air fryer basket and add toppings. Cook at 400ºF for about 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Can I freeze Tortilla Pizza? Yes! Cool the pizza to room temperature. Place them in a freezer bag or sturdy freezer container with parchment paper between each pizza. Reheat in the oven or the air fryer from frozen until hot.
To freeze the unbaked pizza, assemble the pizzas and place on a cookie sheet. Transfer the pan to the freezer and store in the freezer until frozen. Transfer the pizzas to a freezer bag or sturdy freezer container with parchment paper between each pizza. To bake, thaw slightly and cook as directed.
