BBQ Hot Dogs in the Crock Pot – the best hot dogs EVER! Super easy and they taste great! Hot dogs slow-cooked in a quick homemade sauce of ketchup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and onion powder. Slice the hot dogs on two sides so they absorb more of the sauce – YUM! Great for cookouts, tailgating, and parties.
With a small, sharp knife, make cuts at an angle in 2 rows down each hot dog, about 1/2 inch apart, cutting partway into the hot dog. The cuts should look like rounded half circles.
Place hot dogs in slow cooker.
Whisk together ketchup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and onion powder. Pour over hot dogs.
Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours. Serve in hot dog buns.
Notes:
My favorite BBQ sauces are G. Hughes, Sweet Baby Rays, Stubbs, and Williamson Brothers. Can whisk together sauce the day before cooking and store in the refrigerator.
