Everyone raved about this yummy side dish. Perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner! A real crowd pleaser! #crockpot #slowcooker #sidedish #thanksgivingsidedish #christmassidedish
Stir together green beans, Alfredo sauce, water chestnuts, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, black pepper and half of the French fried onions.
Spoon mixture into 6-qt slow cooker.
Cover and cook LOW for 4 hours, until bubbly. Top with remaining French fried onions and serve.
Notes:
You can mix up the green bean mixture the night before and just dump it in the slow cooker on Thanksgiving or Christmas day. SO easy! I love that I can fix this side dish and forget it.
If you aren't a fan of mushrooms, you can leave them out. The casserole will taste just as good without them.
My favorite jarred Alfredo sauces are Trader Joe's, Rao's, or Bertoli. You can use any flavor that you enjoy best.
