Glazed Mississippi Sin Crescents - ham, cheddar, swiss, cream cheese, hot sauce, green onions, and Worcestershire mixed together and baked in crescent rolls and topped with a sweet and savory butter and brown sugar glaze. I am totally addicted to these! I could not stop eating them! Great for breakfast, parties, potlucks, and tailgating! #breakfast #appetizer #partyfood #ham #crescentrolls #gameday
Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Mix together ham, cream cheese, cheddar, swiss, green onions, hot sauce, and Worcestershire.
Separate crescent rolls into 16 triangles. Cut each triangle in half, forming two triangles. Scoop a heaping tablespoon of ham mixture on the long end of each triangle. Roll up crescents and place in baking dish.
In a small saucepan combine butter, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire and poppy seeds. Bring to a boil and pour over crescents.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.
Notes:
Make sure to sauté the diced ham in a skillet before adding it to the filling. Cooking the ham will release all of the extra moisture. Even if your packet of ham says that it is fully cooked, it has lots of extra moisture. If you don't get it out before adding it to the filling, it will release when you bake the crescents making a soggy mess.
I used cheddar and swiss cheese in the filling. Feel free to use your favorite cheese.
Use a pizza cutter to easily cut the crescent roll dough in half.
You can make the filling ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to assemble and bake the crescents.
If you want to assemble all of the crescents ahead of time, I suggest not adding the glaze until right before you bake them.
