Notes:
I used Jimmy Dean sausage in this casserole. I used one package of regular and one package of hot. Feel free to use all regular or all hot sausage if you prefer.
You can substitute turkey sausage for the regular pork sausage if you prefer.
This recipe uses bottled Ranch dressing, not the dry mix. I used Hidden Valley, but I also really like Ken's Ranch dressing.
You can make this casserole ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze for later.
I usually freeze this recipe unbaked. To bake after freezing, thaw completely and bake as directed. Write the directions on the foil for easy reference.
To reheat the casserole after freezing, thaw and reheat in the microwave or covered with aluminum foil in the oven at 350ºF until warm.
Is Sausage Ranch Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole gluten-free? Yes! This casserole is gluten-free. Make sure to use a gluten-free ranch dressing such as Hidden Valley.
