Old English Sausage Muffins - quick and easy breakfast or party food! Super simple to make with only 6 ingredients. English muffins, sausage, Old English cheese spread, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. I always have the ingredients on hand to whip these up. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, tailgating, and holiday parties. You MUST try these ASAP!
In a skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink and crumbled. Drain fat.
Add cheese spread, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Cook on medium-low until the cheese has melted.
Place the English muffin halves on a cookie sheet. Top each half with some of the sausage mixture.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Notes:
My favorite English muffins are Bays brand. Look for them in the refrigerated section at the grocery store.
You can find the Old English Cheese Spread near the Velveeta and Cheez Whiz at the grocery store.
I used Jimmy Dean sausage. You can use any brand and flavor of breakfast sausage that you enjoy.
For appetizers cut each muffin half into quarters. Serve whole muffin halves for breakfast.
Can Old English Sausage Muffins be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the muffins ahead of time and refrigerate until you are ready to bake.
Can Old English Sausage Muffins be frozen? Yes! Assemble the muffins and cool them completely. Place the muffins on a baking sheet and freeze. Once frozen, transfer the muffins to a ziplock bag and put them back in the freezer.
To bake the frozen muffins, thaw, and bake as directed.
