Southwest Ranch Dip – creamy ranch dip with a kick. Only 5 ingredients and ready to eat in 5 minutes! Cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles, and lime juice. Pop everything in the food processor and blend until smooth. Can make ahead of time and refrigerate for later. Great as a dip with chips and veggies, salad dressing, or dipping sauce. We LOVE this homemade southwest ranch dressing!
1(10-oz)can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
1Tbsplime juice
Instructions:
Process all ingredients in food processor for 30 seconds.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with veggies and/or tortilla chips.
Notes:
Feel free to add some chili powder, taco seasoning, or chipotle pepper to the dip mixture.
Is Southwestern Ranch Dip spicy? It has a hint of spiciness from the Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles. If you are worried about the heat, use a can of mild Rotel.
For a spicy version, add some chopped jalapeno pepper, chipotle chiles, or hot chili pepper.
Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I like to store it in a mason jar.
If the dip is too thick for your personal preference, add a splash of milk or heavy cream until it reaches your desired consistency.
Can Southwest Ranch Dip be made in advance? Absolutely! This dip actually tastes better the next day. Letting the dip sit in the refrigerator overnight gives the flavors time to develop.
Feel free to use low fat cream cheese and sour cream for a lower calorie dip.
