Chili Cheese Chicken Wontons Recipe – only 5 ingredients! Chicken, chili seasoning, ranch, and cheddar cheese baked in wonton wrappers. I ate way too many of these!! They are SO good. Can make in advance and refrigerate or freeze for later. Great for parties, lunch, or dinner. Tastes great warm out of the oven or at room temperature.
I make these in a regular muffin pan. You can also make this recipe in a mini muffin pan.
Can Chili Cheese Chicken Wontons be made in advance? Yes. Partially bake the wontons and add the chicken filling. Cover the muffin pans and refrigerate until ready to bake.
You can also mix up the filling and refrigerate it until you are ready to bake and assemble the chicken bites.
Can Chicken Wontons be frozen? Yes! Bake the wonton wrappers and add the filling. Cool completely. Place the partially baked wontons on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer. Transfer frozen wontons to a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
When ready to bake, thaw and bake on a baking sheet for 10 to 15 minutes, until heated through.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
