Place chicken in a 6-qt crock pot that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
In a medium bowl, whisk together honey mustard dressing, hot sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Pour sauce over the chicken.
Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW heat for 4 to 6 hours.
Remove the chicken from the slow cooker. Shred the chicken with two forks, a standing mixer, or a hand mixer. Add chicken back to the slow cooker and toss in the sauce.
Notes:
You can use any boneless skinless chicken in this recipe. Boneless skinless chicken breasts, boneless skinless chicken thighs, or chicken tenderloins.
I use Frank’s Hot Sauce. You can use Frank’s Wing Sauce or Crystal’s hot sauce.
This recipe uses a thick teriyaki sauce. I use Sweet Baby Ray’s.
For the honey mustard dressing, I use Ken’s or Sweet Baby Ray’s.
Is Awesome Sauce Chicken spicy? Yes. There is a definite kick from the hot sauce in this recipe. Feel free to reduce the hot sauce to your personal preference. Start with half of the hot sauce amount and add a teaspoon at a time until you reach the desired heat.
Can I freeze Crockpot Shredded Chicken? Yes! Cool chicken to room temperature and transfer to freezer bags. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
When ready to serve, thaw and reheat in the microwave.
