Slow Cooker Chex Mix - the ultimate party snack mix! Salty, crunchy, savory and so dang good! Chex cereal, goldfish crackers, Cheez-It's, pretzels, pecans, cashews, and peanuts tossed in butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and onion salt. This is great for snacking, holiday parties, and homemade holiday gifts. The mix will keep for about a week in an air-tight container. SO easy to make & a crowd favorite.
Combine the cereal, pretzels, crackers, and nuts in the slow cooker.
Mix together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and onion salt.
Pour butter mixture over cereal in the slow cooker. Toss until well mixed.
Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
Pour mix onto parchment paper to cool and store in air-tight containers for up to a week.
Notes:
You can customize this snack mix to your personal preferences with any flavor of cereal, crackers, and nuts. Sometimes I add in some bagel chips, oyster crackers toasted corn, or cheerios. You can use anything you like!
Want to kick this up a notch? Add some hot sauce to the butter mixture. SO good!
Don't want to make this in the slow cooker? No problem! You can also make this in the oven. Place the coated cereal mixture on a couple of rimmed baking sheets and bake for an hour at 250ºF. Stir the mix every 15 minutes.
