Oreo Brownie Recipe - fudgy brownies loaded with Oreo cookies! They are out-of-this-world delicious! Chocolate chips, butter, eggs, cocoa powder, brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, vanilla extract, salt, and Oreo Cookies. Perfect for an after-dinner treat or an afternoon snack.
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9×9-inch pan with cooking spray. Line the pan with parchment paper leaving a 2-inch overhang. Set aside.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, beat together brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract with a handheld mixer. Add the cooled chocolate, and 20 crushed oreo cookies to the egg mixture and mix until well blended. Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt directly into the chocolate mixture. Gently mix the batter until well blended and no trace of the dry ingredients remain.
Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining 6 chopped Oreos over the top of the brownie batter.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean or with only crumbs, no batter on it.
Allow brownies to cool for 1 hour. Cut into 16 squares.
Notes:
I use semi-sweet chocolate chips. Can use milk chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, or bittersweet chocolate chips.
Feel free to add some white chocolate chips to the batter.
You can use any flavor of Oreo cookies that you prefer.
Sprinkle the brownies with powdered sugar or add frosting.
