Chicken Parmesan Puff Pastry - super simple to make and they taste great!! Puff pastry, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
haw puff pastry sheets according to the package directions. Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 9 squares. Place puff pastry on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Spread marinara sauce over the puff pastry. Add frozen popcorn chicken. Top with fresh mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
In a small bowl, whisk together a beaten egg and water. Brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Notes:
I use frozen popcorn chicken. You can substitute chopped fried chicken breast or chicken nuggets.
Can substitute shredded chicken.
Feel free to add some of your favorite veggies: onions and bell pepper are good.
