Sweet & Spicy Pecans – seriously delicious!!! Made these for a holiday party and they were gone in a flash! Everyone asked for the recipe! Pecans, water, sugar, chili powder, cayenne pepper. I always double or triple the recipe and there are never any leftovers! Great for holiday gifts!
In a medium saucepan, combine water and ½ cup sugar. Heat over medium-high heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Add pecans. Let soak for 15 minutes.
Drain pecans and place in large bowl. Add remaining ¼ cup sugar, chili powder and ground red pepper. Toss to coat.
Place coated pecans on a large baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring midway through baking time. Remove from oven and cool.
Notes:
You can use this recipe on any nuts.
