Almond Toffee Bars - pure dessert bliss! Layers of crunchy oats, graham cracker crumbs, toffee bits, chocolate chips, and sliced almonds, all held together by a sweet caramelized embrace of condensed milk. Perfect for holidays or any sweet occasion, these bars strike the perfect balance between sweet and indulgent. Make sure to add them to your baking list—you won't be able to resist this heavenly treat!
Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper so that the paper hangs over the sides of the pan.
Stir the oats, graham cracker crumbs and salt in a bowl to combine, then stir in the melted butter. Press the crumbly oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Sprinkle toffee its evenly on top, followed by chocolate chips and sliced almonds.
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over pan (it will sink in as it bakes).
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
Cool to room temperature in the pan, then chill for at least 4 hours before slicing into bars.
Store toffee bars in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes:
I make the bars in a metal cake pan.
You can use a glass dish.
If you don't have an 8x8-inch pan, you can use a 9-inch square pan.
I use Heath Bits O' Brickle English Toffee Baking Bits.
Heath Chocolatey English Toffee Baking Bits are equally delicious.
If you can't find the baking bits, you can use chopped up Heath toffee candy bars.
This recipe uses Old-Fashioned Oatmeal. It is also referred to as rolled oats.
