Gorgonzola Garlic Bread Recipe - the BEST garlic bread EVER! I don't even like gorgonzola cheese, and I ate a ton of this bread. SO good! Italian bread topped with butter, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, gorgonzola, and parmesan. Can assemble the bread ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze until ready to bake. Goes great with pasta!
1(16-oz)loaf Italian bread
Preheat oven broiler on HIGH.
Cream the butter with the gorgonzola cheese. Add minced garlic parsley, salt and pepper.
Slice bread in half lengthwise. Spread cheese mixture on each half of the bread. Sprinkle the top of the bread with Parmesan cheese.
Place bread under the broiler until cheese is melted and bubbly. Cut into slices and serve.
Can use any bread for this recipe. French bread, leftover hoagie buns, rolls - anything goes!
You can substitute garlic powder for the minced garlic.
You can assemble the bread ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
Can homemade garlic bread be frozen? Yes! You can assemble the bread ahead of time and freeze it for later. When ready to eat the bread, thaw it completely and place it under the oven broiler.
