Honey Ham and Cheese Quiche - great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Super simple to make and tastes great! Ham, cheese, honey mustard, eggs, heavy cream, sour cream, and pie crust. Can make the quiche ahead of time and refrigerate and freeze for later. You may want to double the recipe - this never lasts long at our house!
Place the ham and cheese in the bottom of the pie crust.
Whisk together eggs, honey mustard dressing, sour cream, salt, pepper, and heavy cream. Pour egg mixture into prepared pie crust.
Bake 1 hour. Allow quiche to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes:
I like to sauté the cooked ham in the skillet before adding it to the pie crust. I find that some cooked ham has high water content and can make the quiche runny.
For the honey mustard, I used Ken's Honey Mustard Dressing.
I did not thaw or precook the frozen pie crust before filling it.
You can use a frozen or homemade pie crust. Either is just fine.
Can Homemade Quiche be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the quiche ahead of time and refrigerate it overnight.
Can Homemade Quiche be frozen? Yes! You can make this quiche ahead of time and freeze it baked or unbaked for later.
I prefer to freeze the quiche unbaked. Assemble the quiche and place in the freezer. Once the quiche is frozen place it in a freezer bag. When ready to bake, thaw the quiche in the refrigerator before baking as directed below.
To freeze the baked quiche, cool the quiche completely and wrap the pie plate with plastic wrap and aluminum foil. When ready to reheat, thaw and reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
How long will Homemade Quiche last? The quiche will keep 3 to 4 days covered in the refrigerator.
