You can use any cooked chicken that you prefer. Chicken breasts, chicken thighs, chicken tenders, or canned chicken.
Swiss cheese is the traditional cheese used in chicken cordon bleu. You can use any cheese that you prefer. Havarti, provolone, mozzarella, or parmesan cheese all work fine.
Feel free to add a squirt of honey mustard and a dash of garlic salt or garlic powder to the casserole.
Can Chicken Bubble Up be frozen? Yes. Bake the casserole and cool completely. Cover the baking pan with plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Freeze for up to 3 months.
When ready to eat, thaw and reheat in the microwave or covered with aluminum foil in the oven.
