Slow Cooker Steak Chili Recipe - tender beef, chili beans, tomatoes, chili powder and onion. Super simple to make and loaded with tons of great flavor! Just dump all the ingredients in the slow cooker and let it cook all day. Makes a lot of food – great for a crowd! Serve with cornbread for an easy weeknight meal!
I use chili beans. Feel free to substitute kidney beans or black beans.
Can omit the beans if you prefer.
There is no need to add any extra liquid to the slow cooker. The meat and tomatoes cook down and make the perfect amount of liquid for the chili.
If the chili doesn't have as much liquid as you would like after cooking, stir in a can of tomato sauce or some beef broth until it reaches your desired consistency.
Can I cook Steak Chili on HIGH in the slow cooker? Yes! Cook the chili on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
Can I make Steak Chili on the stovetop? Yes! Brown stew meat in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the beef is tender.
