Mini Pecan Tarts Recipe – pecan pie filling baked in a phyllo shell – great for parties, tailgating, or Thanksgiving! Everyone LOVES these bite-sized pecan pie bites! Can make ahead of time and store them in an airtight container for several days. Such a great easy dessert recipe!
In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, butter, syrup, sugar and vanilla. Stir in pecans.
Spoon pie filling into tart shells and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-18 minutes.
Notes:
I find the mini phyllo tart shells in the freezer section at the grocery store. They will be near the puff pastry.
The tart shells are already baked.
There is no need to prebake or thaw them before filling them with the pie filling.
Can substitute brown sugar for white granulated sugar for a molasses flavor.
Add some mini chocolate chips for chocolate pecan tarts! YUM!
These can be made a day or two in advance. I honestly can’t tell you how long they will last. I’ve never had a batch make it through the day! These are great for tailgating and would also be perfect for Thanksgiving and holiday parties.
Can Pecan Tarts be frozen? Yes! Bake the tarts and cool completely. Transfer to a freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
