French Onion Cheese Bread Recipe – so easy and ready to eat in 15 minutes! French bread topped with butter, onion soup mix, and parmesan cheese. Great as a dinner side dish or dipped in warm pizza sauce for an appetizer.
Slice a loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, stir together butter, ¼ cup parmesan cheese, and onion soup mix.
Spread the butter mixture over the bread halves. Sprinkle bread with remaining parmesan cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes to 15 minutes.
Notes:
You can use any cheese that you enjoy. I use freshly grated parmesan cheese.
Mozzarella cheese or sharp cheddar cheese would be equally delicious!
I use unsalted butter. You can use salted butter if you prefer.
