Notes:
I use Gordo’s Queso in this recipe. I find it in the grocery store near the refrigerated bags of cheese.
I use Jimmy Dean's Hot Sausage. You can use any flavor variety that you enjoy.
Can substitute turkey sausage for lower calories.
Variations/Additions
onions
peppers
green onions
paprika
jalapenos
Use mild cheese dip and mild Rotel for a less spicy dip.
Can I make Queso Dip on the stovetop? Yes! Cook sausage and drain grease. All the remaining ingredients to the skillet and cook on medium low heat until hot and melty.
Can I make Queso Dip in the crock pot? Yes! Cook the sausage. Add all of the ingredients to a 3-qt slow cooker and cook on LOW until the dip is hot, about 2 hours.
