8breaded chicken fingersI used frozen Tyson crispy chicken strips
4slicescheddar cheesecut in half
1(8-oz)can refrigerated crescent rolls
1cupBBQ sauce
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Pour BBQ sauce into a bowl (you might need to thin the sauce out with a little bit of water). Place one half slice of cheddar cheese on top of crescent roll.
Dunk chicken finger into BBQ sauce and place on top of cheese. Roll up crescent rolls and place on a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Repeat with remaining chicken fingers and crescent rolls.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes:
I use frozen Tyson chicken strips. I did not thaw the chicken. It bakes as the rolls cook.
You can thaw the chicken in the microwave for a few minutes if you are worried about the cooking time.
You can use any fried chicken fingers that you have on hand.
I love the chicken fingers from the Publix deli!
Our favorite store-bought BBQ sauces are Sweet Baby Rays, Stubbs, G.Hughes, and Williamson Brothers. I buy them all at Walmart.
Add some thinly sliced red onions to the wraps for a BBQ Chicken Pizza wrap.
You can use any cheese that you like in this dish. Cheddar cheese, provolone cheese, mozzarella cheese, Monterey jack or pepper jack cheese all taste great.
Brush the rolls with melted butter for extra flavor.
Can I freeze BBQ Chicken Crescent Rolls? Yes. Bake the rolls and cool to room temperature. Transfer to a freezer bag and store in the freezerfor 3 to 4 months.
