Piggy Potato Bar {Crock-Pot Hookup Giveaway}

I was recently contacted by Crock-Pot to see if I would be interest in testing out their new Crock-Pot Hookup Connectable Entertainment System. I thought it was a great excuse for a girls night, so I said "Heck yeah!".

The Crock-Pot® Hook Up™ Connectable Entertaining System is designed to be fully customizable and work the way you need it to. You can build your own system or create a spread at parties and gatherings with everyone connecting their own individual Crock-Pot® Hook Up™ unit. Up to 6 units can plug together using one outlet.

Crock-Pot sent me a 3.5-qt unit, a 2-qt unit, and two units that contained two 1-qt capacity slow cookers. I loved how the Crock-Pots all hooked up into each other and I only needed one plug! So convenient.

I decided to make a potato bar with the Crock-Pot Hookup Connectable Entertainment System. I cooked a pork butt in the 3.5 qt unit, cheese sauce in the 2-qt unit and warmed up some bacon, chow chow and bbq sauce in the smaller 1-qt units.

In addition to the Crock-Pot Hookup Connectable Entertainment System, I used my 6-qt  Crock-Pot to cook the potatoes.  This was the first time I had ever baked potatoes in the Crock-Pot. I was really nervous that they weren't turn out. Well, I was worried for nothing. Everything was AWESOME! They were the best baked potatoes I've ever had. Everyone LOVED the Piggy Potatoes.

This Crock-Pot Hookup Connectable Entertainment System is great for entertaining. Think dip bar for football parties, hot beverages for holiday parties (hot chocolate, hot cider), Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner side dishes (mashed potatoes, green beans, squash, gravy).  The possibilities are endless! I am a big fan of these Crock-Pot Hookups!

  20. You don't need to wrap the potatoes in foil, just put 1/2 cup water in the bottom to keep the skins from drying out. Don't poke holes in them either.

  21. I love the piggy potato and the Auburn - Georgia game - bet you were excited. Years ago in pro football, Franco Harris of the Steelers made a catch referred to as the immaculate reception but I believe another one happen at Auburn tonight.

  22. I have seen the crock pots that are two or three connected together permanently, but never ones that can be connected at will -- arranged and rearranged, as needed. Ingenious and very useful, I say! Thank you for offering this give-away. :)

  23. I saw these on a display at WalMart and had a hissy fit...I gotta have some of these. Love the idea of being able to use just one plug-in for 6 units. Just thinking of all the possibilities of using these hook-ups. Church functions would never be the same.

  24. These are awesome. I would give them to my brother and sister-in-law because they host all of our family get togethers. We have such a large immediate family that they built a room onto their house so everyone could sit comfortably at tables to eat with a serve yourself area for food.

  28. I think my heart just skipped a beat seeing all those crockpots lined up like that. How fun! I was just looking at these last week and thinking how much I would love to have some. I think my husband would think I'd lost my mind though because I already have 4 crockpots in varying sizes plus a small one for Potpourri/wax and then 3 different Nesco's too. LOL Ummmmm yea, our kids are grown and for the most part not living here any longer. One has moved home 'temporarily' with his family but I LOVE to cook and just MUST have all the toys. These are already on my wish list so winning this would be so awesome. Thank you for the chance. I really love the way they all connect together with just the one plug. Genius!

    1. I didn't have those issues. The pulled pork cooked in the same amount of time it normally does in my other slow cooker.
