This is really good. It comes together quickly. I did change the recipe around a bit from the original. I thought it was a quick version of Chicken Tetrazinni.

  1. All the can say is I received a thumbs up from my 3yr old! I made sure he didn’t have any big chunks of chicken or mushrooms. I basically double the recipe so we have leftovers I also had a can of mushrooms.

  2. If I make this ahead of time and freeze it, should I bake it before freezing it? Either way, how long will I need to bake the frozen casserole? Can't wait to try this! Thanks.

  3. I make a similar recipe with a bag of frozen broccoli, some canned chiles, and sliced canned mushrooms added for a single dish meal. I haven't made it in a while. Thanks for the reminder!

  4. Seemed like it could have used a bit more milk – but maybe I undercooked the spaghetti… But the flavor – OHHHHHH definitely a keeper. Had to use regular Cream of Mushroom – so added some no-sodium chicken granules and all three of us loved it! Thanks for posting this version – always looking for things to do with 2 cups of leftover chicken

  5. I made this tonight and it was great! I did add a blob of sour cream and a little red pepper. The cheese I used was a package mix of mozzarella, romano, and asiago. May try a little celery next time. Maybe a little chicken broth cause it was a tad dry. All in all, a great recipe!

  6. This looks amazing! I think I will have to make this for supper this week!

  7. I have just discovered your page from a pin on pinterest and I cant wait to make so many of your reciepes Steph! Thanks for making it simple from all the way in Australia!

  8. Definitely one of my post popular pins as well, thanks for sharing. I am making this for dinner tonight and it SMELLS DELICIOUS!!!

  9. Morti- Campbells makes a soup that is cream of chicken & mushroom combined. If you can't find that, just use one can of cream of chicken soup.

  10. Question – Your recipe calls for two cans of soup (1 cream of chicken and 1 cream of mushroom) but the original recipe that you link to calls for only one can of cream of chicken. Did you use both or did you mean any one of the three?

  11. I am trying this tonight. I changed the recipe some. Omitted the cream of mushroom as it is not kid friendly for my house. Instead I used a pkg of cream cheese softened with the cream of chicken. I also added an extra 1/2 cup of Mozz. Cheese. Can't wait to try it! Love everything I have tried so far from Plain Chicken. Why would this be any different. 🙂

  12. I Pinned this on Pintrest (a new find for me) and this has already been re-pinned over 200 times (seriously). I have not tried this yet, but it is clearly a popular recipe.

I have made three items from your web site so far and I would have to say they are all hits. Can't wait to try more. Thank you to Plain Chicken and thank you to Pintrest as I never would have found you otherwise.

BTW, my 8 year old loved, loved, loved the blueberry bread recipe.

  13. Don't know if you ever see comments on your old posts, but I made this recipe for dinner tonight, using the Uncle Idiot method — Purdue Short Cuts, Original Roasted Chicken — but otherwise following the recipe exactly.

Terrific stuff. Katherine was very impressed.
