Double Bacon Cheddar Smokehouse Burger

I hope everyone is enjoying the first full day of college football and the Labor Day weekend! We are going to be watching tons of football and grilling out all weekend. This burger is most definitely on the menu. It has amazing flavor and is packed full of yummy bacon. Bacon is not only on top of this burger, it is ground up inside the burger too! Bacon overload!

These burgers tasted incredible. They were better than most burgers we eat out. We loved all the bacon and the smokey BBQ sauce. You could really kick this up and use the maple bacon from the burger I posted earlier this week. This recipe makes 6 burgers. We grilled three a few weeks ago and are grill the remaining burgers tonight. I can't wait!

*I created this recipe for Lipton Recipe Secrets Secret Society of Burger Lovers.
Lipton sent me product and is providing the Visa gift cards for the giveaway.*
Double Bacon Cheddar Smokehouse Burger
6 burgers
(Printable Recipe)

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb bacon, divided
  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
  • 6 hamburger buns

Preheat oven to 400. Arrange half of bacon slices on broiler pan. Bake until crisp, 15-20 minutes. Set aside.

Place remaining 1/2 pound of bacon in food processor and pulse 3-4 times. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped bacon, Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 6 patties.

Grill or broil hamburgers until done, approximately 10-12 minutes. Top hamburgers with cheese slices. Cook until melted.

Arrange burgers on top of buns and top with cooked bacon slices and BBQ sauce. Top with lettuce and tomato if desired.
