Pin This RecipeThis Crack Chicken Noodle Soup is ridiculously good. We ate this for lunch and dinner on the same day. We just couldn’t get enough of it! Chicken Noodle Soup loaded with cheddar, bacon, and ranch. I mean, how could this be bad?!?!? This not only tastes great, but it is also super easy to make. PLUS it is ready in under 30 minutes. Quick, easy and delicious – my three favorite things!
To cut down on the prep time of this Crack Chicken Noodle Soup, I used rotisserie chicken for the cooked chicken. Rotisserie chicken is my favorite short cut. I always have at least two shredded chickens in the freezer at all times.
I need to warn you that this Crack Chicken Noodle Soup is highly addictive. Chicken Legs has already requested it again this weekend. I can’t wait!!! We like to serve it with some cornbread or a crusty roll and butter.
Crack Chicken Noodle Soup

I also added potatoes. It was perfect except my noodles absorbed most of my liquid
The issue was that the potatoes also absorbed the liquid. Just add more broth next time until you reach your desired consistency.
Made this for dinner last night, it was D-licious!!! Followed the recipe, but added 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1 tsp black pepper and substituted half & half for the milk for a richer broth. Husband had two huge bowls. We have plenty leftover for at least another meal or two. Will make this again and again. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
It looks like you add the noodles right at the end. Will the noodles get soggy? I plan to make this on my stove top but then I plan to put in a crockpot for a potluck. Will the noodles become soggy? I’m not sure I got the right noodles. We have limited options at our store.
You can always add the noodles 15 to 20 minutes before serving from the crockpot.
I use this as my main chicken noodle soup recipe because we love it so much ❤. I think I may try to add a couple of ingredients of my own next time. My family thanks you for this recipe!
Made this tonight and it was delicious. My whole family loved it ! Will make again!
this was delicious
Just fantastic- soo easy, not expensive to make, simple ingredients, quick. I have now made this four times. My husband loves it!!!! Thank you
Wow, I am not a huge fan of chicken noodle soups but will for sure make this again I love the broth flavor, absolutely delicious!!! I added some onion diced finely and about seven mushrooms I sliced up bc I’m a sucker for anything with mushrooms!!! Oh and I used spaghetti noodles!!!! Delicious, thank you so much for sharing!!!
Yummy. Making today.
Turned out great, like restaurant style. I will definitely try low sodium broth next time. Also, I couldnt find fine noodles so I used curly. It worked fine and I just eyeballed the amount of noodles.
Hi! We love this soup! Was wondering if I could freeze leftovers?
Thank you
I freeze soup all the time! Just don’t put the noodles in!
How salty is this? Don’t need real salty. Hubby can’t have too much? Suggestions??~Jen~
Try it with our Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix: https://www.plainchicken.com/homemade-ranch-dressing-mix/ Also try using no -odium chicken broth and Healthy Request Cream of Chicken Soup. Sodium content varies from brand to brand. Make sure to check the labels.
In Australia I can’t find condensed cheese soup? What can I use in lieu of please?
Maybe Cheez Whiz? I don’t know what products are sold in Australia. Sorry.
I made this tonight and it was good. I accidentally bought the spicy ranch packets for was super worried it would taste nasty. OT just spicy, but still good. I’m going to make this again, but next time, I will pay attention. 🙂
I just made the soup for dinner and I think using the rotisserie chicken turned it toward the salty side. Next time I make this soup, I’ll either use low sodium chicken broth and/or plain shredded chicken. It is tasty, for sure.
I suggest using homemade ranch seasoning (linked in the recipe) and no-salt or low-sodium broth.
My husband and I had this again last night, this was our third time. This is a really good chicken soup recipe but felt it needed a little tweaking. The 1st and 2nd time I made it, we thought it just had way too many noodles in it, so I decided to use 4 to 5 oz of noodles instead of 8 oz, and I also added some onion salt, black pepper and garlic to it. Absolutely loved it! Much better this time around……
Out of fine noodle, may I use angel pasta.
Expecting 10in if snow want to make, would appreciate if any one would answer
Thxs
I think that would be fine.
Yes! Just did!
Make all the time love the little noodles.
Any suggestions for serving something on side
How much sodium is in this soup? I am on a low sodium diet
probably a lot
I made this yesterday (a really cold day). It was awesome and l will certainly add this to my list of favorites.
There is a person in my family that is not a cheese lover. However, l noticed that even with the canned cheddar soup and shredded cheese it wasn’t strong on a cheese flavor.
And l’m glad to learn that this is doable in the crock potConnie
How can you do this in the crock pot?
I made this tonight I used Spicy nacho cheese soup. It was really good! Thanks for the recipe!
